“One of the things I love about Wallingford’s nonprofit community
is the camaraderie of organizations supporting each other. We are
United Way NFL Weekend a community; no nonprofit is on their own. Although it has been
my experience that everyone is looking to collaborate, I want to
recognize three organizations in particular who take an especially
active role in supporting other nonprofits in town”.…Rajan Doering
Meriden-Wallingford
Community Foundation
Meriden-Wallingford Community Foundation helps individuals es-
tablish funds to support community charitable initiatives of their
choice. I had the opportunity to get involved with the Community
Foundation for a brief while a few years ago. There are currently fif-
teen funds ranging from supporting land trusts to supporting youth
to much more. Each donor and each fund has the flexibility to sup-
United Way Annual Food Drive port initiatives that are important to them and financially feasible
for them; it is flexible to accommodate whatever is desired.
United Way Day of Caring
Wallingford Rotary Club
The Rotary Club has been serving our town for over one hundred
years. It provides financial support to many organizations in town. I
am involved with GLOW Food Ministry in town, and we have been
on the receiving end of support from Rotary, which we appreciate.
The Rotary Club has supported ongoing project support as well as
United Way Campaign Kickoff capital requests for many organizations in town; it has donated
