The Wallingford Senior Center will be seeing some transition
and growth over the next few years. For many years, the Se-
nior Center was led by Executive Director Bill Viola, who re-
cently retired. The new Executive Director, Ann Zak, comes
out of a lengthy career in senior care and is looking forward to
continuing to find new and innovative ways to continue Bill’s
legacy of serving more than four thousand members of the
senior center. Ann is excited to collaborate with local organi-
zations, including the Public Library and GLOW Food Ministry,
in providing services that are beneficial to all ages. The senior
center recently reduced its minimum age to participate from
60 to 55, which will increase the number of town residents
eligible to participate in the senior center’s activities, ranging
from travel to creative arts to much more.
