Wallingford Magazine
As I have said before, I am so pleased to “Bring Wallingford to Wallingford” which is my motto
in my role as the owner and editor of Wallingford Magazine. I enjoy all the projects that I em-
brace to enable our wonderful writers to bring their stories to share with you. Wallingford is
such a special place in so many ways. I published my book, Legendary Locals of Wallingford,
in 2015 and I learned so much about the history of our town and its amazing people. The
process of researching the historical stories of 140 remarkable Wallingford folks who made
such great impressions on our town was deeply touching. I am always grateful to those
wonderful writers who bring such wonderful and amazing stories to this publication. They
are special people who know how to honor our town and its amazing positive energy. I am
also always grateful to all of the professional organizations of so many types who support
the magazine with their advertising. I love being able to serve their promotional needs and
our community with this publication. I am delighted to highlight the unique contributions of
the many people and organizations to the solidarity of this community.
ON THE COVER
We are blessed to have the Ulbrich family and business as a sponsor of Wallingford Magazine. Most of us who
have lived in Wallingford for years are aware of this remarkable company and the family that has run it for ex-
actly 100 years this month. I have known many family members and I have always honored their dedication to
their company, their employees, and to our community. I knew Fred Ulbrich, Jr. well for many years and have also
gotten to know his son, Chris Ulbrich, a remarkable leader, who is now the CEO of Ulbrich. His son, Weston, has
written the book from which our cover photo and our inside story and photos have been gathered. Congratula-
tions to the Ulbrich family on your Centennial Celebration!
