As mentioned in previous columns,
your Economic Development
Commission has migrated from a
print-oriented marketing emphasis
to a digital one. In this column,
we want to introduce Wallingford
residents to one of the more
powerful tools we have in our
arsenal to heighten our visibility
nationally. This tool is designed to
help fill vacant properties in the
town by attracting businesses,
developers and investors.

Zoom Prospector provides real-
time data on available commercial
properties, including office, retail,
and industrial spaces. Zoom
Prospector, a powerful online
site selection and economic
development platform is powered by
the Financial Times' fDi Intelligence
division. The site empowers
users to make informed decisions
and underscores Wallingford’s
commitment to business growth
and strategic development.

Over the past few years, EDC
partnered with AdvanceCT, who
managed the platform for towns.
The properties were primarily in the
commercial and industrial zones
in town. With our investment in a
three-year subscription, EDC can
now add and update properties
for sale or lease, as well as offer
this service to property owners in
the Town Center. Commercial real
estate brokers, developers and the
