chance to experience the global ci-
     der movement.

Connecticut has long played a role
     in American cider history. During
the colonial era, cider was a staple
     beverage, with nearly every farm
     cultivating apples for its production.
     Prohibition, industrialization, and
     shifting drinking habits nearly erased
     traditional cider making, but today,
the craft cider movement is bringing
it back. The Connecticut Cider Asso-
ciation seeks to ensure that this re-
     surgence is sustainable—advocating
     for fair legislation, supporting local
     orchards, and educating consum-
ers on the quality and complexity of
     craft cider.

With a growing network of passion-
     ate producers and cider enthusiasts,
     the Connecticut Cider Association
is poised to make a lasting impact.
     Through collaboration, advocacy, and
     celebration, this new organization
     aims to cement Connecticut’s place
in the broader craft cider movement
while staying true to the state’s rich
     apple-growing heritage.
