Beth Israel Synagogue of Wallingford Continues

“Colors of My Jewish Year” Program

Beth Israel Synagogue has returned for the second
year with its popular “Colors of My Jewish Year” in-
teractive educational series for children ages 3 to 8
in the greater Wallingford area. Each session includes
a story and hands-on craft. Last year’s focus was on
Jewish holidays, while this year’s series focuses on the
meaning and symbols of Shabbat.

This highly rated program, in collaboration with local
libraries, has welcomed children of all backgrounds
from Wallingford, North Haven, and Cheshire. It spans
the months of the Jewish year and comprises 6 ses-
sions, each covering a different Shabbat-related topic.
Past events covered the meaning of Shabbat, challah,
Shabbat Queen, and Havdalah.
Following are the final two sessions of the series:
Shabbat Juice – February 6, 2025 – Cheshire Public
Library
Shabbat Candles – February 13, 2025 – Wallingford
Public Library, and February 20, 2025 – Cheshire Pub-
lic Library
